*Author’s note:I been having these thoughts for a few months now and I just thought it would be best to write them down and publish them. Keep in mind that none of this should be taken too seriously. I based this off an open letter I read a few months ago during the Olympics. This is my first ever post to tumblr too, so be kind please.

Hey Guys,

First off: Congratulations on your success. Your guys portray your characters Finn and Rachel very well. A huge fan-base revolves around shipping Finn and Rachel, known in the fandom as Finchel. Also, if fan reaction is any indication, people undoubtedly want them back together.

And now the inevitable fan question has started popping up: that is, when are you start having babies? Yes, I have read the press about you two just being really great friends and how you think of each other as brother and sister. You have to understand though, it’s quotes like this one(from People last year) that get us a little annoyed.

“We’re great friends. We’ve become really close over the show, but we’re just friends. We’re not dating,” the actor, who plays McKinley High’s quarterback Finn Hudson on the FOX show, said Thursday at the Marshalls and T.J. Maxx “Carol-Oke” contest at New York’s Bryant Park.

On on-screen relationships you’ve said this:

“That seems really difficult. That seems like it would be tricky,” Monteith said.

Look, I can understand the reasons you might not want a public relationship. But then, we see the photos of you guys together, and – come on – it’s just too good. If I could just give you guys some advice, we can make this work. In fact, meet me at the next paragraph Cory.

Hey, Cory. Now I know your worried about the stresses of having a Hollywood relationship, but your looking at this all wrong. Your relationship with Lea is already beyond the friendship stage. I know that now that you’re an Hollywood celeb, the dating possibilities are endless. And you’re right, they totally are. But they will ruin you. Think about it: For multiple hours of the day, you’re paired up with a total fox who you’re around all the time and with whom you share a life goal (and who doesn’t bore you to tears). After the gagillionth time you’ve explained the extra hour you spent at the studio to your fire-pissed jealous girlfriend, you’ll realize it’s barely even worth texting it again. And then you’ll realize I was right. You’ve got a good one here. In fact, Lea, let’s talk for a second…

Hi, Lea. Look: I know at this point you’re probably saying something like, “But it’d be like dating my brother,” and that’s fair enough, but you’re just looking at it the wrong way – it’s all in your head. Besides, the seed has already been planted. As someone who has a little sister, I know for a fact that what you guys have is not a brother/sister relationship as you’ve put it(from Dose.ca).

“I don’t have a crush on Cory!” she insists. “Cory is such a goofball. He’s like my brother. I swear to God, that kid can make me a laugh.”

I would more accurately describe your relationship as being in a strange gray zone between best friends forever and boyfriend/girlfriend. I mean, you guys make each other laugh, constantly see each other. Let’s face it, It’s going to be hard to find someone who doesn’t mind you hanging out with a handsome friend for several hours a day(and that doesn’t include photoshoots).

So, I realize you’ve already done a lot for us fans, but I’ll make you a deal: You guys promise to give it a go, and we’ll promise that nobody else will ever write you another mediocre open letter calling for your immediate engagement.

p.s. There, I’ve said what’s been on my mind all this time, now I feel better.

Finchel Petition

December 12, 2010

Link to the petition here.

This episode wasn’t too bad. It had a good balance of all of the characters. Also, a band member finally talked! The songs were all enjoyable to listen to, I especially liked “Last Christmas”(always had a soft spot for that song). First off, Sue as the Grinch was funny to watch. It was also nice to see a bit of Sue’s soft side in this episode. Next Brittany and Artie’s storyline was cute, Brittany still believes in Santa Claus and Artie wanted to keep Christmas magical for her. I know some people are getting tired of Brittany’s seemingly increasing stupidity, but I do not think it’s that bad. Artie was definately a great boyfriend in this episode. Lastly while I thought it was kind of cheesy that Artie could walk again by the end of the episode, that scene is growing on me. Loved Coach Beiste in this episode. Lastly Finchel this week is in much better shape! I see hope for them. Most of the episode is Rachel trying to get Finn back, there are several scenes with Rachel giving Finn a longing look. I have to say though in each of the Finn/Rachel encounters I was a little disappointed that Finn didn’t seem more ready to forgive her. By the end of the episode it was worth it because Finn finally gave Rachel that longing look she’s been giving him all that time. Lastly Wemma is showing signs after many episodes with little or no Wemma. Both main couples seem to be on the up and up.

p.s. Rewalks are real! here’s a link.

First, I would like to start by saying there are some serious issues with this episode. For one thing, it seemed a little out of character for Emma to marry Carl in Las Vegas on a weekend! Also, Finchel fans didn’t that break-up just suck? I mean, of all the ways of Finn and Rachel to break-up that was the worst. As for the rest of the episode and the other characters it was alright. The quality of the musical performances varied; I thought “Hey, Soul Sister” and “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina” were good, but the others ranged from just fine to not that exciting. I did like the Hipster’s performance though. Brittany and Artie turned out to be a cute couple. Well, Unfortunately that’s all for now; I give this episode a C+.
Quote of the week from Brittany:”I know that I’m more talented than you. Britney Spears told me that.”

Glee:”Furt” review

November 23, 2010

“Furt” was quite a good episode. First off though I will start off with the weakness’s in this episode. I thought Sue storyline about her marrying herself was weird. That said, everything else about Sue’s storyline was good. Sue was actually a very good principal/teacher in this episode. Kurt was good, but I thought it was a little too much. I mean, seems like he has been taking up all of the storylines. I get to Kurt storyline later.
I want to address Finchel fans there is a good amount of Finn/Rachel interaction in this episode. In the beginning of the episode Rachel tells Finn how disappointed she was that Finn wouldn’t stand up to Karfosky. The most important Finchel moments however happen later, Rachel finally says “I love you” to Finn and Rachel admits to Finn that she did not have sex with Jesse. I know however some of you will be disappointed that there was no Finn/Rachel sex, but reason yet to give up hope we still have a lot of episodes left before the season is over. Over than that there is one more important thing you need to know, Santana threatens to reveal to Rachel that Finn and her had sex which Finn is very concerned about.
Next up, Quinn and Sam promise ring. They’ve only dated for six weeks and Sam practically proposes to her? Crazy, but Sam did fight for Kurt so I guess I can forgive some of the Sam/Quinn storyline for now.
While I thought this episode did focus a little too much on Kurt(I mean Burt and Carole’s wedding vow’s seemed to be all about Kurt). I liked how they addressed Kurt’s bullying.
To sum it up, it was a good episode. Arguably one of the best this season so far, I will give this episode a A-.
Quote(by Kurt):”My power rangers got married and divorced in so many combinations, they were like Fleetwood Mac.”

Two words: needs to happen.

I liked this episode, but just thought it was okay, nothing special. It wasn’t awful, but I thought some things about this episode were weird. First, I’ll start off saying there’s no finchel in this one shippers. Next the weird things, Mercedes obsessing about tattertots for one. It’s seems a little out of character for me to see Mercedes so into tattertots because of her supposed need for a boyfriend. I just didn’t buy it. Also, who would have foresaw Mercedes sticking tattertots up Sue Sylvester’s tail pipe? That’s pretty uncharacteristic of her. Next, Terri and Will having sex, doesn’t this go against what the first thirteen episodes of the first season. That they should not be together?
Okay, there were positives in this episode. Rachel’s storyline was fine in this episode. All of the song and dance numbers were good. I enjoyed “Forget You” and the mash-up of “Singin in the Rain/Umbrella”. The dancing by Mike Chang in “Make ‘Em Laugh” was nice. Overall, other than Mercedes’ storyline a good episode. I will give this one a C+. The Brittany quote of the night is “I stopped after M and N. I felt they were too similar and got frustrated.”
